Mats Schröder has been with KWR since 2012 and has been a lawyer since 2018. He specialises in public procurement law and is thus particularly active in the area of handling extensive award procedures in the upper and lower threshold range for public contracting authorities. In addition, Mats Schröder represents companies on the bidding side in the enforcement of claims before the public procurement control authorities. Mats Schröder spent his entire professional career (student to lawyer) at KWR. In addition to his work as a lawyer at KWR, Mats Schröder lectures in the field of public procurement law (KDZ) and, as a member of the core team of the "Young Procurement Lawyers" (ÖWAV), is jointly responsible for the organisation of events in the field of public procurement law.

Mats Schröder has supervised procurement procedures for various large-scale projects of the Insurance Institution for Public Servants, Railways and Mining (BVAEB); e.g. the new construction of the health care facility Sitzenberg-Reidling. Mats Schröder also advised on the successful conclusion of public procurement procedures in the urban development sector (Seestadt Aspern, Wien 3420 Aspern Development AG), in the service sector (marketing, PR, management consultancy, etc), medical technology and infrastructure sector (public services). In addition, he has been involved in public procurement procedures for cultural institutions and in the energy sector.
