Georg Karasek has been an attorney since 1985 and co-founded KWR in 2004. During his student days, he served as chairman of the Austrian Student Union (1976-1977). In addition to his legal practice, he has been a lecturer on construction law topics at various institutions, including the University of Vienna, for decades. He is the author of the standard work on construction contracts "ÖNORM B 2110" (currently in its 3rd edition published by Manz) and editor of the professional journal "bauaktuell" published by Linde. Likewise, he is a long-standing board member of the Theater an der Josefstadt. Since 2017, he has also been president of ÖGEBAU (Austrian Society for Construction Law and the Construction Industry).
In the renowned lawyer directory "The Legal 500", he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2022. In the ranking of the German JUVE-Verlag (2021/22) he is considered a "Leading Name in Real Estate and Construction Law". The business directory "Chambers Europe" (2022) says about Georg Karasek: "One of the main Austrian construction lawyers."
