Update: Change in parental leave starting from November 1, 2023, fixed.

As a follow-up to our posts, we herewith inform you that there are new developments regarding parental leave for births from November 1, 2023.

As a follow-up to our posts planned changes in parental leave - shared childcare within the partnership and amendment to parental leave passed in the National Council, we herewith inform you that there are new developments regarding parental leave for births from November 1, 2023.

For births from November 1, 2023, employees are entitled to full parental leave until the child's 2nd year of life only if both parents take at least 2 months of leave each. If only one parent takes leave, the entitlement to parental leave extends until the child's 22nd month of life, reducing the entitlement by 2 months. Single parents are exempt from this change.
