Since June, attorney and junior partner Simone Marxer (31) has strengthened the team of the new Commercial Criminal Law & Compliance department at KWR.
She specializes in advising and representing individuals and companies in cases involving commercial and criminal corruption law at all stages of the proceedings, as well as in providing preventive advice to companies in commercial criminal law (Criminal Corporate Compliance).
With the establishment of the new area "Commercial Criminal Law & Compliance", KWR wants to take into account the current developments in the legal industry and the increasing inquiries on the part of clients and deliberately place focus on this subject area in the future. Expert support comes from Wolfgang Brandstetter, who has already worked for KWR for a long time in the past and has extensive theoretical and practical experience in this field. He will now rejoin KWR as „Of Counsel“.
"With Simone Marxer, we have gained a renowned expert to reinforce this new legal field, who has an impressive track record. With her knowledge, she constitutes a particular enrichment for our firm and will establish and expand the new area together with Wolfgang Brandstetter," said KWR Managing Partner Thomas Frad.
„Especially in recent years, the field of white-collar criminal law has become increasingly important, and the need for legal advice in this field has increased strongly. KWR can now also offer criminal defense, compliance advice, criminal investigations and representation of victims and injured companies in criminal proceedings, including advice and representation in international cases," Wolfgang Brandstetter explains.
"I am delighted to be given the opportunity at KWR to play an active role in the development of a new area of law and to contribute my ideas," says Simone Marxer.
