In a recent article on HR-Web, KWR partner Anna Mertinz provides an update on employment law in Austria, focusing in particular on educational leave and part-time educational leave.

Educational leave has existed in Austria since 1998 and is becoming increasingly popular. In 2020, the first Covid year, the popularity of this model continued to grow, leading to an increase in the number of employees attracted to further education by one third. In 2021, the number of those using the educational opportunity in the first 3 months of the year was already as high as in the whole of 2020.
