Since August, lawyer and Junior Partner Raphael Valenta (33) has rejoined the Corporate Law team at KWR. His areas of expertise include domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, VC investments, and startups.
In the future, Raphael Valenta will primarily drive the expansion of the transaction business and the private equity/venture capital sector at KWR. Additionally, he will work towards expanding the collaboration with law firms in the Anglo-American region on an international level.
Since March 2023, KWR has become a member of the internationally renowned network "unyer", which includes esteemed law firms such as Luther (Germany), Fidal (France), and Pirola (Italy). Raphael Valenta will also contribute alongside the partners of the KWR Corporate Law team in this network.

About the lawyer:
Raphael Valenta worked at KWR as a trainee from 2017 to 2019 and then as a lawyer from 2019 to 2022. Prior to his return to KWR, he gained one year of additional experience at a large, internationally renowned law firm. Originally coming from the real estate transaction business at a prestigious law firm (2013-2015), Raphael Valenta acquired his current specialization in all kinds of M&A transactions while working at an internationally active law firm in Vienna, focusing on Corporate/M&A & Capital Markets (2016-2017). In between, he pursued an LL.M. degree at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and obtained a Business Certificate from Kellogg School of Business in Chicago. Additionally, he also became licensed as an attorney in New York.
