In keeping with the firm's growth trajectory, KWR's legal team is growing as three additional lawyers join this autumn.
Stefan Burischek (32) joined the Employment Law team of KWR partner Dr Anna Mertinz in September. His focus is on advising domestic and foreign companies as well as executives on all aspects of individual and collective employment law (especially as regards working hours legislation, restructuring and global mobility).
Anika Kollar (30) previously worked as an associate in KWR's Corporate Law team and was admitted to the bar in September. Her career at KWR now continues in her new function. She is a specialist in corporate and antitrust law.Philipp Hecke (34) returned to KWR's Construction & Real Estate team in October; he had already been a member of the team from 2018 to 2021. He specialises in advising and representing real estate developers, institutional and private clients, construction companies as well as architects and civil engineers in all areas of construction and real estate law.

About Stefan Burischek:
Stefan Burischek has been working with KWR as an attorney at law in the field of employment law and data protection law since 2024. Before joining KWR, he gained valuable experience in renowned law firms in Vienna and successfully passed the bar exam in December 2020.
Apart from his work as an attorney at law, Stefan Burischek is a regular author of specialist articles (e.g. for the publisher Lexisnexis Verlag).
About Anika Kollar:
Anika Kollar passed the bar exam with distinction in 2022 and worked with KWR in an associate position from the beginning of 2023. She was admitted to the bar in autumn 2024 and is a specialist in corporate law and antitrust law.
During her studies, which she completed as one of the 10 best students of her year, she was a study assistant at the Department of Civil Procedural Law at the University of Vienna; after graduating, she gained relevant professional experience both in Austria and abroad (at the Austrian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur).
Apart from her work as an attorney at law, she is an external lecturer at the Vienna University of Applied Science FH BFI Wien.
About Philipp Hecke:
Philipp Hecke’s career as a lawyer started in 2018 when he became an associate with Georg Karasek. After passing the bar exam with distinction, Philipp Hecke moved to the legal department of an international construction group, where he also held the position of a “Prokurist” (authorised signatory with special powers).
Before returning to KWR, he gained further experience in construction and public procurement law at a renowned Viennese law firm.
